Some steps to minimise FUEL CONSUMPTION

We are running out of oil without which modern civilisation cant function. It is true. Also right now we dont have any unconventional energy which can replace oil or petroleum. The only solution right now is to spend oil more cautiously and planfully so that oil consumption become less as much as possible with maximum output. Thus we shall get more time to invent another energy source which can replace oil. So what can we do? What are the steps? Here are the few:

  1. No private vehicles(4 wheelers ) should be on the roads without a miminum of 2 passengers(I think, it is a very important step in the first world countries)

  2. There should be strict regulations on the annual servicing of the vehicles so that they dont consume more fuel(specially for third world countries)

  3. Public vehicles should be more abundant(buses, chartered cars)

  4. Use of two wheelers should be encouraged.

  5. Trains are most economic as per as ratio of fuel consumption and passenger load are concerned. So trains should be more abundant.

  6. Building more bridges, roads so that the distance between to points become minimum and thus the fuel consumption would be less. (I think it is a very important step in the third world countries). Between bridges and roads the first one deserves more importance.

  7. Rail tracks and ships should replace aeroplanes.

  8. The use of technology should be at its maximum
. As for example, by telephone we can send message anywhere without being presnt there, so in that case there is no fuel consumption. Like that in IT sector if some work can be done in one's drawing room's laptop, the boss should not ask him to be present in the office. (This type of rules should be made so that we dont need to be present somewhere without any reason)

  9. The nations should spend more money in the research projects for finding new source of energy rather than spending money in wars where lots of fuel is consumed meaninglessly.

The most important is, we(the nations and the individuals) should be aware of the upcoming danger of scarcity of fuel which is the main source of energy of this automatic civilisation.

AM i EDUCATED?

(drawn by me, 20 Nov,2002)

I have something to say about our education system.

Our education system is something that works without any output. Does our education system teach us how to cope up with the problems that we face in our daily life? The answer is 'no'. Do we really think about the world that we are gifting the future generation? The answer is 'no'. Do we think of others? The answer is 'no'. Do we have any morals? 'No'...'no' ..'no..'no''....

Then why do we read? Why do we try so hard to go ahead of others in our class? The answer is only to get marks and those marks will take us in the good jobs..where we can earn and do anything for more earning. 'anything' means 'any wrong way', 'any short cuts' because we had not been taught what 'wrong way' is or where does those short cuts lead to. We are carrying the books and the knowledge is hidden in those books. We dont try to unleash knowledge from books and use them.

Everyone ignores primary school teachers but they are the building blocks of the education system. They have the highest responsibilty to prepare a child's psychology for acquiring knowledge but in our country (i dont know about other countries) primary school teacher are less qualified and they get less salary. They dont know about child's psychology and they are teaching the children. Oh sorry. They dont teach them..they do one thing ..they punish them properly. Our school teachers know various ways of punishment but they dont know how to make someone interested in a subject.

I have an experience. When i was in standard 6 we had to give viva on every subject. just before the viva on bengali(mother language) we all were reading and reading and memmorising every word of some 10 big poems because our ma'am will soon ask any of those poem to recite. If we fail to memmorise our marks will be deducted. now my question is why should we punish the children to memmorise those huge poems word by word?We dont stress on what the poets want to say, but we stress on what they have said.

I think, corruption is the main problem(the direct problem) in our country and our education system(the indirect problem) has a large part in it. Corruption cant be controlled alone by the laws. How education system is related with corruption? If we have the morals in us., if we do bother about others then we will not do any corruption. Also if all the people are truly educated then they will not give their votes to a corrupted man who will become a minister.

The worst scenario is that the political system in India doesnt want to make everyone educated.

The picture is saying that we are all living with a hope.
This torn flower is thinking that one day her shadow will be like that as shown in the picture..the shadow is of a flower which is nice and beautiful and well-built..and the flower is living with her hope..dont know ehether her dream eill be fulfilled or not, but this dream is the water and sunlight for her.

oh..at last..there is a place where i can save my haphazard thinking.
